The 24-hour patch test
Last updated October 12, 2026.
Before your first ritual
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Patch test before first use. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. If you have known ingredient allergies or a skin condition, consult a qualified clinician before use.
01 / Choose a small area
Wash and dry a small patch of intact skin on the inner arm. Use only a very small amount of the oil. Do not test near your eyes.
02 / Apply and wait
Apply a thin film and leave the area uncovered. Wait 24 hours before wider use. Avoid rubbing or repeatedly reapplying to the test area.
03 / Check your skin
Watch for redness, itching, swelling, burning, or other discomfort. If irritation occurs, wash the product off gently and discontinue use. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, are severe or suggest an allergic reaction.
04 / Begin slowly
If no reaction occurs, start with a small amount. A negative patch test does not guarantee that a reaction cannot occur later. Stop use if irritation develops. Keep out of reach of children.
