LESS MARKETING. MORE QUESTIONS.

A label is a claim.
Evidence is the truth.

“Batana” on a jar is a starting point. The full ingredient list, a traceable origin, and independent documentation tell the fuller story.

FIVE WAYS TO LOOK CLOSER

01 / The colour

Traditionally roasted oils can range from amber to dark brown. Colour alone cannot prove purity: preparation and storage affect appearance.

02 / The scent

Roasted Batana can have a warm coffee, cocoa or toffee aroma. Ask whether any fragrance has been added. A scent test does not replace laboratory analysis.

03 / The texture

Consistency changes with temperature. A buttery texture that softens in your hands is a sensory clue—not conclusive evidence of authenticity.

04 / The processing

Ask how the oil was roasted, extracted and stored. Do not perform a home smoke-point test: heating oils can cause burns and does not establish purity.

05 / The INCI

Read the complete ingredient list. For our single-ingredient oil, it is Elaeis Oleifera Kernel Oil (100%). Ask for a batch-linked certificate.
